Can you guess the identity of this animal? a mysterious animal carcass found in Cerro Azul Panama in early September 2009 yesterday. This discovery has caused controversy among the local population. Some say that this creature comes from outer space, others say that this creature is just an ordinary animal.
Two young men were exploring on the hill when they saw a strange creature walking toward them at the entrance of a cave. The two young men became very frightened and immediately stoned to death.
The Panama television station Channel 13 shows a photo of the strange creature that had appeared a week earlier in Cerro Azul, Panama City.
According to Telemetro, Polemics sprang up between those who believed that it was a celestial creature and who believed that the creature was just an ordinary animal. Surprisingly, none of the authorities declared the discovery.
Telemetro reported slightly differently. According to him, four teens (not two) aged between 15-16 years saw the creature come out of the waterfall in Cerro azul. For fear of being attacked, they immediately stoned him to death.
In my opinion, most likely this is a hoax. To my knowledge, the first reaction of a person who is frightened of seeing something is running, not looking for a stone and throwing it. Later, I did not see any stone throwing scars on the body of the carcass. Moreover, if there is this creature, is not the local authority still able to find the carcasses that are left behind.
But since this news was aired on the media and Panama TV stations (including CNN) and had made a fuss, I decided to post it as well.

Update 14 November 2009The carcass of this Cerro Azul creature is called biopsied by the National Environmental Authority of Panama (ANAM) and is summed up as Bradypus variegates, or slow loris three claws or Sloth. This species is common in Central and South American countries. Regarding the loss of feathers in the carcass, the ANAM estimates because the carcass has been dead and submerged in water for two days.

With this statement, it means that the ANAM party rejected the testimony of young people who witnessed the creature live before being killed by a stone thrown. According to him, perhaps the young people were "just" mistaken for fear.
At first I rejected the Sloth theory because the nose of this carcass is different from Sloth and even I believe this is all possible Hoax. But since scientific evidence has proven that it is Sloth, then I accept this explanation.
